Group Opportunities

Playroom

This is a volunteer-run indoor playground for the childrens at Mary’s Place and can be reserved for your group of volunteers anytime the children are not in school. Your role is to supervise the playroom and play with the children. This opportunity is best for a group of 6-10 volunteers with at least one adult over 18. Volunteers must be over age 14. Call us at 612-338-4640 to check the schedule of available dates.

Serving a Meal

Serving a meal is best for groups of 6-10. For the Breakfast and Dinner meals, volunteers are responsible for serving. Groups serving breakfast should arrive at 9:30am and lunch at 3:15pm. For the Lunch meal volunteer groups bring all of the food and prepare and serve the meal. Groups serving lunch should arrive at 11:30am. This opportunity fills up quickly, so please call with potential dates in advance. Email info@sharingandcaringhands.org or call Missy at 612-596-3485 to schedule to serve a meal.

Take a Tour

Come visit us and see firsthand the great work being done. This is a wonderful way to learn more about homelessness and to see where you might become involved. Large groups and families are welcome. Tours are offered Monday – Thursday at 10 am or 2 pm call to schedule a tour at 612-338-4640.

Host a Speaker

Belong to a group that would like to know more about homelessness and our work with people in poverty? If you have a group of 10 or more located in or near the Twin Cities we would be happy to send out a speaker.
