New Building Project - you too can make a difference!

Come join us in building for our children and the poor!

Sharing and Caring hands is excited to propose a 21,000 square foot, three story new addition to Mary's Place Transitional Apartments.

The addition would include 8 family size apartments on the upper two floors and a new teen and children center on the main level. This addition will allow us to house 130 additional people, 100 of them will be children.

The Teen and Children Center will have more space to accommodate equipment and activities for the increasing number of children at Mary’s Place.

Currently, we house 440 children and 150 adults at Mary’s Place. This six million dollar addition will enable us to demolish our existing 80 year old building which is currently our Teen and Children Center and use this space to house more families in need.

Many families come to us with major medical needs such as blindness, cancer, kidney failure and other disabling health conditions. Some disabled families have become discouraged in their hard journey and lost hope.
"As each one of us journey in this world we can all do something beautiful for God. We can all bring hope to poor families. Please always remember, 'To the world you may be one person but to that person you may be the world.' Your support of this addition will bring your love to many people and they will be able to live a productive life."
- Mary Jo Copeland

Mary’s Place restores hope by providing peace and security. We help establish connections for the poor and needy to meet their medical needs. We encourage them to go to work and attend school so they can have a better life and uphold their dignity. We teach families better money management and the importance of saving. Mary Jo teaches the families to pray and the significance of prayer: ”A family that prays together stays together.”

In 2013, we had 1,224 families come to us for housing. Due to the lack of space, we were only able to house 374 of these families. The new addition will increase the number of families we can house. We understand we cannot help every one of God’s people but we wish to serve as many as possible.

Each year through the generosity of all our donors we continue to make a difference in the lives of others and helping the poorest of the poor. Please put it in your heart to help us build this new addition. Your generosity will make a difference.

Thank you and God bless,
